東風夜放花千樹, 更吹落, 星如雨。寶馬雕車香滿路，鳳蕭聲動, 玉壺光轉, 一夜魚龍舞。

蛾兒雪柳黃金縷,笑語盈盈暗香去。眾里尋它千百度，驀然回首, 那人卻在, 燈火闌珊處。

 东风夜放花千树, 更吹落, 星如雨。宝马雕车香满路，凤箫声动，玉壶光转，一夜鱼龙舞。

蛾儿雪柳黄金缕，笑语盈盈暗香去。众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在，灯火阑珊处。

The eastern breeze makes the night lanterns flare, like a thousand trees blooming. It blows again, making sparks from the fireworks fall like rain. Fine horses, fancy carriages, and the scent of drunken revelers fill the streets. The sound of a vertical flute wafts through the air, the moonlight swirls, and fish- and dragon-shaped lanterns dance through the night.

Women decked out with hairpins and haircombs bustle about, their pleasant chatter and subtle fragrances drifting away. In the crowds I search for her everywhere. Suddenly I turn my head, and there she is, in the fading light of the lanterns.
